About Us

Machine Technician programme requires a 2-year education process, both theoretical and practical. Common basic courses in the 1st and 2nd semesters of this process; In addition to courses such as Turkish Language, Atatürk's Principles and History of Turkish Revolution, foreign language, mathematics, department courses are given under the name of Measurement Technique, Physics, Materials Technology, Technical Drawing, Basic Manufacturing Processes, Strength and Machine Elements. In the 3rd and 4th semesters, CNC courses, Computerised Drawing courses and other courses related to production are given to help specialisation in the profession.

Machine Programme was opened in 2005 within Iğdır Vocational School, which was established in 1995 under Kafkas University. In 2008, Iğdır Vocational School, which was affiliated to Iğdır University, continued its development in Iğdır Vocational School and continues its activities within the Vocational School of Technical Sciences, which started its education life in 2013. Having graduated 6 semesters, many students of our department have carried their education life to an advanced level with Engineering education.
